How to make bias tape

Making your own bias tape is incredibly easy, and the best part is that it will match your fabric perfectly!
To start out, you need a 2" wide strip of whatever fabric you're using.
All you need now is an iron!  Iron the strip of fabric to get all of the wrinkles out and then iron it in half.
Open it up and you'll have a nice crease down the middle.  That is your guide for the other two folds.
Fold one side over to the middle line and iron.  Then fold the other side in and iron it as well.

The last step is to fold it in half again and iron it flat.  If you want your bias tape to have one side longer than the other (the way store bought bias tape is), instead of making the initial fold exactly half, make one side a little longer than the other.  After everything is folded and ironed, one side will be slightly longer than the other.

Attach your bias tape to whatever you're working on and pat yourself on the back!
